Forced to jump from a second-story window after they were cut off from any viable escape route, two firefighters credit their Cairns Helmets for helping to save them.

While searching for victims at the scene of a fully involved single-family dwelling, Lt. Paul Machado and Lt. Jeff Mello from Fall River, MA, were forced to jump from a second-story window when their exit was cut off by flames. Wearing Cairns Helmets, both firefighters miraculously escaped without a single mark to their heads or faces.
"If I didn't have my helmet on, I don't know what my head would look like today" said Lt. Mello, who wore his Cairns 880 Helmet. Lt. Machado, explained, "not a single hair on my head was singed," all thanks to his Cairns 1010 Helmet.
