MSA donates F2 X-TREM helmets to help Lebanese Civil Defense
MSA joined an international effort to support rescue activities associated with the recent and horrific explosion in Beirut. The Lebanese Civil Defense received 128 F2 X-TREM helmets.
While the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on our business and our customer markets, it has not diminished MSA commitment to be a good corporate citizen in the communities in which we live and work around the world. This is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
To highlight just one very recent commitment: In Beirut, Lebanon, a horrific and devastating explosion destroyed a portion of the city and resulted in numerous injuries and fatalities. Consistent with our mission and MSA’s tradition of responding in times of emergency, MSA quickly offered assistance. With logistical help from our French channel partner, EPI SUD, MSA donated 128 F2 X-TREM fire helmets made at MSA’s manufacturing facility in France to the Lebanese Civil Defense through the French Minister of Foreign Affairs. These helmets will help protect personnel involved in Urban Search and Rescue operations that are expected to continue for weeks to come. We hope that these helmets will help those in the field to remain safe while saving others.
