The M1 SCBA has successfully passed all qualifying performance tests that allows MSA to ship specific SCBA configurations bearing the EU Marine Equipment Directive (MED) or commonly referred to as the wheelmark.

The M1 SCBA can now be ordered with the MED label. Please choose option M7 under M1 Standard in our M1 configurator. When choosing option M7 (MED), specific M1 SCBA modular options can still be selected – such as swivel backplate, backplate add-ons, cylinder band, harness and safety add-ons, pneumatic options such as SLS or Classic line and LGDVs.
