MSA celebrated the 35th anniversary of the GALLET F1 helmet at the Museum of Firefighters of Ain, located in Gex, France.

The F1 helmet, which initial concept was designed by the Paris Fire Brigade, has become a worldwide reference amongst firefighters. With its jet-style disruptive design, the F1 helmet has radically changed attitudes and has led to over 2.5 million units sold in more than 80 countries around the world.

The F1 helmet  now reflects of 35 years of history, effort, commitment and conviction that have marked the history of firefighters around the world. Châtillon sur Chalaronne in France, the town where F1 helmets are manufactured, has been elected as "International Capital of Firefighters' Helmets".

The helmet we know today, the GALLET F1XF, a tribute to its inventor, has significantly improved to better respond to changing needs and provide unequalled head protection against heat and mechanical impacts.

The ceremony in the Museum of Firefighters, full of emotion and history, was a great occasion to thank all those who strongly believed in the F1 helmet success.
