MSA Bristol has provided PPE and assorted donations to help fill a container with life-saving equipment due to set to sail to the Gambia. For more than 20 years, the Gambia and Avon Fire Service in Partnership (GAFSIP) has been coordinating the shipping of donated fire and ambulance vehicles and equipment, as well as facilitating training visits for The Gambia Fire and Ambulance Service.

In October, volunteers filled a container at Weston-Super-Mare fire station with redundant equipment and PPE from Avon, Gloucestershire and Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Services, as well as donations from MSA Bristol.

GAFSIP Trustee Dave Price said: “Without the support of willing volunteers and dedication from departments across the Service, such significant support for The Gambia could never be achieved.”
