Increase the Probability of Gas Detection Using Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detectors

Learn how Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detection (UGLD) can add a layer of protection and potentially reduce the required number of point detectors without reducing coverage in our next edition of mapping guides.

Did you know that ultrasonic gas leak detectors “listen” for leaks from pressurized gas systems by sensing the airborne acoustic ultrasound produced by the escaping gas? When a gas leak occurs, the ultrasound generated by the leak travels at the speed of sound, through the air, from the source to the detector.

Our new mapping guide compares the detection range of the Observer® i in classic mode to its enhanced mode to demonstrate how the detection radius of the detector is affected by the set trigger level and how the number of detectors is greatly reduced in enhanced mode.
