Fire & Iron

Once again, MSA proudly sponsored Fire and Iron's Station 6 Firefighter Motorcycle Club's Fifth Annual Burn Camp and Unit Run held on May 31, 2014. With more than 200 bikes, over $9,000 was raised - the most raised in a single run to-date.  The proceeds will benefit the West Penn Children's Burn Camp and UPMC Mercy Pediatric Burn Unit.

Station 6 has now donated nearly $84,000 to these worthy causes. "MSA has helped us to accomplish that," said Renee Daum, Treasurer, Fire and Iron Firefighter Motorcycle Club - Station 6.  "From MSA's cash donations to providing everything from refreshments to tents, to t-shirts, to musical entertainment, not to mention a starting location at their corporate offices; we cannot thank MSA enough," Daum added.  "And of course, we are grateful to all the people who came out to support us; without them we would just have an empty lot!"

Daum concluded, "I am so proud of everything that the Fire and Iron Station 6 members have managed to achieve as a small group. We are just so honored that the money we've raised goes to support children, and as firefighters, the burned children are who are closest to our hearts!"

About Fire and Iron, Station 6:  Established in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2002, Station 6 is comprised mostly of firefighters, their friends and their families.  The group sponsors two major fundraising events each year:  a St. Valentine's Day party and the annual Burn Camp and Unit Ride.
