A "Safety Stand-Down" is a voluntary event for employers to talk directly to employees about safety. This year, OSHA focused on the topic of "Fall Hazards" and reinforced the importance of "Fall Prevention." Fatalities caused by falls from elevation continues to be a leading cause of death for construction workers -- and sadly, most of these fatalities could have been prevented.

June 2-6, 2014 MSA reps nationwide did their part to help raise awareness during the "Stand-Down." Safety activities included conducting equipment inspections, developing rescue plans, assisting in live fall demonstrations, and discussing job specific hazards.
