Senscient FM Approved

MSA is pleased to announce the launch of a Factory Mutual (FM) approved methane variant of the Senscient ELDS Open Path Gas Detector.  This new variant has obtained FM approval for use in hazardous areas including the stringent FM open path, combustible gas performance approval (FM 6325).

It is designed to meet the demanding requirements of the oil and gas industry, both on and offshore, including gas distribution facilities.  It delivers improved uptime availability in heavy rain and fog compared to many differential IR devices.

A 0-1 LFL.m measuring range offers faster speed of response and initiation of executive actions than any other open path, flammable gas detector that operates at the industry standard measuring range of 0-5 LFL.m.  The 0-5 LFL.m measuring range is also available from this FM variant.

The Senscient ELDS FM version incorporates some mechanical and optical modifications which are reflected in a new dedicated FM-specific data sheet:  Senscient ELDS Methane Specific Open Path Detector.
