In June 2017, MSA launched our new flagship gas detector and transmitter the ULTIMA X5000.  With a number of technological advances that increase safety while reducing total cost of ownership, the ULTIMA X5000 was designed as a direct replacement for the ULTIMA X Gas Monitor.

Although initially planned to be phased out at the end of 2020, MSA decided to delay the discontinuation of the ULTIMA X and its derivative products (ULTIMA XE, XP, XA, XIR, TriGard®, TriGas®, etc.) until mid-2021.  Additionally, MSA will continue to offer the two-wire version of the ULTIMA X indefinitely.  

MSA plans to continue to support ULTIMA X with parts and accessories for at least 5 years.
