Dear MSA FGFD Representatives and Customers:

To better serve our global Fixed Gas & Flame Detection (FGFD) representatives and customers, beginning this year MSA will embark on an initiative to streamline our FGFD manufacturing and distribution capabilities. As a result of this initiative, which will be completed in July 2021, MSA will relocate FGFD manufacturing operations from our Lake Forest, California facility to sites in:

  1. Corona, California;
  2. Galway, Ireland; and
  3. Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

General Monitors Systems (GMS) operations will not be affected by this relocation and will remain at its existing Lake Forest location.

These relocation activities will enable MSA to improve operational efficiencies and provide quicker delivery on a global level. In other words, this effort is intended to optimize your customer experience.

Please note that there is no action that you need to take at this time. MSA will continue to ship FGFD products from Lake Forest, California into 2021. Additionally, please rest assured that our top priority when executing these types of optimization efforts is to ensure that quality and delivery are not affected during the course of the initiative.

This change will have no impact on your customer service and sales contacts at MSA. Please continue working with those same contacts moving forward.

MSA to Implement Business System Enhancements

As part of this initiative, we will soon be implementing changes to MSA’s business systems to further simplify your experience when doing business with us. In the next few weeks, we will provide you with a communication detailing this initiative, so please be on the lookout for that information. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to your MSA contact.

As always, thank you for your business and for your trust in the MSA brand as we work to continuously improve and enhance your customer experience.
