ULTIMA® X5000 and S5000 Gas Monitors Are Now FM Approved!

The long journey is over! Both the ULTIMA X5000 and GM S5000 Gas Monitors now have FM approval! Read the article for the full list of applicable sensors and other details.
MSA is pleased to announce that both the ULTIMA X5000 and General Monitors S5000 Gas Monitors have received FM approval! The approval applies only to those sensors that were originally released with the monitors:
- Combustible (catalytic bead and point IR detectors)
- Oxygen
- Hydrogen sulfide
- Carbon monoxide (non-diffusion supervision versions)
The diffusion supervision sensors are not approved yet and there is an FM-specific oxygen sensor (code 15). There are no further plans for additional gases at this time.
