MSA is pleased to announce the launch of the JB5000 remote sensor housing for the X/S5000 gas detection platform.
The JB5000 is a smaller format replacement for a number of the existing remote sensor housings for the X/S5000 Gas Detectors.
- On the Ultima X5000, the JB5000 is suitable for use with all sensor configurations.
- On the General Monitors S5000, the JB5000 is suitable for use with the digital sensors only. Users deploying remotely mounted IR400/700 sensors, or passive sensors (both catalytic bead combustible and MOS H2S) will need to use the existing S5000 junction box.

1The JB5000 does not currently carry Marine or INMETRO approvals.
2The JB5000 is only suitable for use with the digital sensors on the S5000. The passive catalytic, passive MOS, and IR400 sensors must use the existing junction box.
